Current Role

Greg Cameron is the Education Sector Director in our Societal Impact group. In this role, he leads a team of expert faculty with a focus on designing, facilitating, and supporting leadership development efforts for K–12 and Higher Education leaders. Specifically, he leads state-wide leadership development initiatives and designs leadership development programs in partnership with schools, districts, professional organizations, universities, and nonprofit organizations that support education.

He has an extensive background in nonprofit and educational leadership effectiveness, program design, development, and delivery, and he’s an internationally recognized expert in developing collective efficacy and organizational collaboration.

Experience

Previously Greg was the K–12 Director and a Senior Faculty member for the our Societal Impact team, where he led state-wide leadership development initiatives and designed leadership development programs in partnership with schools, districts, professional organizations, universities, and nonprofit organizations that support K–12 education across the United States and internationally.

He has also served as partner at Learning Crest, where he co-developed Leading Instruction for Excellence and Equity (LIFE)™ with Dr. Roger Goddard. At Learning Crest, Greg also facilitated Instructional Rounds and contextualized support for educational leadership at all levels. He has served as the Executive Director of the Center for Educator Effectiveness at McREL International, where he led a team of recognized experts in the areas of leadership, instruction, and performance appraisal. In this role he was the lead developer of Balanced Leadership.

His background also includes service as an education consultant, a nonprofit senior director, and a public school teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Greg is the author and co-author of several articles, books, and personnel appraisal systems in wide publication and use.

Education

Greg has an MA in history from the University of Denver, an educator license from the University of Colorado–Denver, and a BA in history and anthropology from the University of Colorado–Boulder.
