Current Role

Holly Downs is currently the project director for Amplify, an initiative that empowers high-potential nonprofits by fortifying their leadership capabilities, optimizing program design methodologies, and cultivating a data-driven approach to continuous learning and improvement. She oversees the team responsible for the creation, design, launch, and evaluation of the program.

Experience

Holly has over 20 years of experience in research and evaluation with an emphasis in using digital tools to facilitate and investigate leadership and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programs delivered via traditional, hybrid, and online learning environments. She has contributed to publications on digital learning in research and evaluation in leadership development in academic journals, books, and white papers.

Holly previously served as an Assistant Professor and Associate Director of the Office of Assessment, Evaluation, and Research Services (OAERS) at the University of North Carolina–Greensboro. She has led projects exploring virtual leadership training and applying AI to enhance development programs.

Education

Holly has a PhD in Educational Psychology and an MEd in Education from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
