Current Role
Lisa Cavanaugh is our Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), responsible for the development and successful execution of our strategic initiatives, including our transformation agenda. With a focus on long-term growth, mission impact, and ensuring research is at the core of what we do, she collaborates with cross-functional teams to align efforts with our mission and vision. In partnership with the executive team, she plays a key role in guiding the company’s direction, evaluating potential risks and opportunities, and ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support strategic priorities.
The strategy office includes Strategy & Enterprise Planning, Leadership Research & Analytics, the Global Business Process Office, and Global Partnerships & Innovation.
Additionally, she’s the executive sponsor for our Wellbeing Employee Resource Group.
Experience
Lisa has more than 25 years of experience in organizational and leadership development, business strategy, and executive coaching. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Institute for Environmental Solutions and the Colorado Springs Leadership Institute. As an executive coach, Lisa is certified in CCL’s Benchmarks® 360 Assessment Suite and is trained to deliver our unique coaching workshop, Better Conversations Every Day™.
Education
Lisa has an MS Applied Industrial / Organizational Psychology from Colorado State University. She also has an MS in Library and Information Science and a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Illinois–Urbana-Champaign.
